Ohio State students now have access to a new wellness app to find mental health resources.
The "Ohio State: Wellness" app is available on Apple devices with iOS 13 or higher installed. It gives students access to resources available both within the university and outside of it.
Students, faculty and staff developed the wellness app to include the appropriate content and make it easy to use. That came out of a recommendation from the university’s which was formed after the deaths of two students in 2018.
The app is divided in four sections that let students find information on wellness (Explore), locate support and resources (Support), track their goals (My Wellness), and let someone know if they're in crisis (Crisis).
University officials plan to add features to an existing app available to Android users.
